Feature

Beach sprint stopwatch: every leg, every crew.

The coach times the beach sprint from a phone, on the beach. One big button per crew marks each checkpoint (the boat, the buoys, the shore, the finish) and the course sketch shows where every crew is. When it ends, the session goes into the coach's history with the time of every leg.

How it times

From the start list to the finish line.

Crews made up on the beach

Pick athletes from anywhere in the club, whatever their squad, and make up crews with whoever is there: with a name or with the surnames of who is in, and a colour for each. Or one single per athlete.

Time trial with automatic starts

You give the first start and the rest go at the interval you set, with countdown beeps. On finishing, the crew rejoins the queue for another lap. Manual starts too.

Knockout heats

Two crews start together, one per lane. When both are in, the app says who won and by how many seconds.

No signal, no lost times

While it runs, the session lives on the phone and the screen stays on: a reload loses no marks. When it ends it saves itself; with no connection, it waits on the phone and uploads to the history when there is one.

Time per leg

What happens between one buoy and the next.

Beach sprint stopwatch in a time trial: five crews on different legs, with the course map and each crew's time
  • The time of every leg. Start to boat, boat to the first buoy… all the way to the finish, with the best of each leg highlighted.
  • Time trial ranking. Every lap, fastest to slowest, and how many laps each crew has done with its best time.
  • A bouncing finger is not another buoy. Two taps on the same button within 1.5 seconds count as one, and Undo removes the last mark.
  • A history you can correct. Every saved session opens later to fix a time, remove a lap or delete it altogether.

FAQ

About the beach sprint stopwatch.

Which courses does it time?
Both beach sprint formats. In the time trial, nine marks: the run to the boat, two buoys, the two big buoys, two buoys on the way back, the shore and the run to the finish. In the knockout, eight: the run to the boat, the slalom out, the turn at the big buoy, the same two buoys on the way back, the shore and the finish.
What if a crew isn't ready to start?
In a time trial with automatic starts, delay it: that crew and the ones behind start one interval later. You can also stop a crew so it doesn't rejoin the queue, and resume it later.
Do I need signal on the beach?
Not to time: everything is kept on the phone while the session runs. Pressing Finish saves it to the history, and with no connection it stays pending on the phone until there is one.
Who sees the times?
The coach who timed them. Each session is that coach's own logbook: they see it and they correct it.
