Feature

Rowing performance statistics: split, watts per kilo and tests.

Every piece is a point on a chart. Remonta compares split /500 m, watts per kilo, metres, stroke rate and heart rate across athletes and over time, and keeps tests apart so a personal best doesn't get lost among training sessions.

Performance charts: split /500 m of several athletes compared over the season

Metrics

The units rowing actually uses.

Split /500 m

Rowing's unit of pace, as the main metric. Calculated automatically from metres and time, on the erg and on the water.

Watts and watts per kilo

From the erg, with the athlete's weight on the date of the session, to compare different weights without fooling yourself.

Stroke rate and heart rate

Per piece, to see whether the split improves through technique or engine.

Tests

The 2k test, 6000 m, 30 minutes or whatever the club uses. Its own view with each athlete's result and progress.

Per athlete

Every rower's profile, with their history and PBs.

Athlete profile: training history, personal bests and measurements
  • Full history. Session by session, with the pieces, the split and how they felt that day.
  • Personal bests. The best result in each class of session and how much they've improved since the first.
  • Weight and height over time. The measurements the athlete provides, with their history.
  • Export to Excel. What the chart or the tests view shows, in a spreadsheet.

FAQ

About statistics.

Where does the chart data come from?
From what each athlete logs after training: metres, time, split /500 m, stroke rate and heart rate, per piece. No device or import needed. If the club has Remonta Performance, what the PM5 measures comes in by itself.
Can athletes be compared with each other?
Yes. Choose the athletes and the period (this month or all) and see each one's progress on the same chart: split, watts per kilo, metres, SPM or heart rate. On a masters team, also with the masters handicap applied.
How are watts per kilo calculated?
With the athlete's weight on the date of the session, not the last weight they entered. That way a season's progress isn't distorted when their weight changes. Watts come from the split with the Concept2 formula, the same one the split and watts calculator uses.
Can it be exported?
Yes, to Excel, with one click: what the chart or the tests view shows, one row per athlete and session.
